Osceola Mills, PA – Harold Evans Killed in Fatal Collision on PA-53
Osceola Mills, PA (October 9, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal car accident that took place on a major roadway in Osceola Mills on Saturday morning, October 8.
According to Clearfield County officials, the accident happened on PA-53. Police confirmed that 84-year-old Harold Evans was driving in the area when he attempted to make a left turn from a driveway onto the road. His vehicle was struck by a second vehicle due to reasons that are not fully known. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.
Several local responders, including EMS crews and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. Evans was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The 42-year-old driver of the other vehicle, as well as an 81-year-old passenger in Evans’ vehicle, were both injured in the accident. They were transported to Mt. Nittany Medical Center for treatment but are expected to be okay.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area for some time.
