North East Twp., PA (November 11, 2023) – The Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that 47-year-old Jerry Cox Jr of Corry, Pennsylvania, died as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place late Thursday evening.
The accident occurred just before 10:00 p.m. on November 9.
According to law enforcement, Cox was traveling near the on-ramp from Interstate 90 and Route 89 when he was struck by a vehicle.
The incident prompted officials to close the interstate between Exit 41 and the New York State line.
Emergency officials were called to the scene to render aid to the victim. However, he was pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries he suffered.
The Fuller and Crescent Hose Fire Departments responded to the scene to provide assistance.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
