Newburg, PA – Child Killed in Fatal Buggy Accident on Newburg RdLaw Pa
Newburg, PA (June 18, 2020) – On Tuesday, June 16, a fatal buggy accident took place in Newburg that took the life of a child.
Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that a 10-month-old Amish child was killed in the accident. He was a passenger in the buggy.
The horse and buggy were traveling along on Newburg Road as a vehicle was traveling uphill. The vehicle struck the buggy from behind.
The driver of the buggy and an adult passenger were injured but have since been released from the hospital. A 3-year-old passenger was also injured. Police confirmed that the 10-month-old was initially hospitalized but has since passed away due to his injuries.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
