New Stanton, PA (March 8, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision that took place in New Stanton on the evening of Tuesday, March 7.
According to Westmoreland officials, the accident happened at 6 p.m. at 424 South Center Road. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a collision with one another due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged, and one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The person who was trapped inside their vehicle was freed by fire crews. The victim was then rushed to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time. Police fully cleared the scene by 7:20 p.m.
