New Ringgold, PA – One Injured in Head-on Crash on W Penn Pke

New Ringgold, PA (October 5, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, one person was injured in a head-on crash in New Ringgold.

Schuylkill County officials confirmed that the accident happened in the evening hours on West Penn Pike when two vehicles collided head-on. They did not confirm which vehicle crossed the center line but the two vehicles were identified as an SUV and a sedan, both of which sustained front-end damage.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to assist at the scene of the accident. One person was injured and taken to the hospital by paramedics, though the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

The roadway was closed in the area for an extended period of time while police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
