New Columbia, PA – Two Killed in Fatal Collision on US-15Law Pa
New Columbia, PA (August 31, 2020) – Early Sunday, August 30, two people were killed in a fatal collision that took place on a highway in New Columbia.
According to authorities, the collision happened around 2:35 a.m. when a Chevrolet was traveling north when it suddenly collided head-on with a Subaru Legacy. The Chevrolet, which was being driven by 32-year-old Matthew Jodon, continued onward following the collision and struck a Mercury Mountaineer on its passenger’s side.
The Subaru immediately overturned in the median due to the force of the collision.
Numerous responders, including paramedics, were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision. Jodon was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A passenger in the Subaru, identified as Joseph Rodriguez, was also pronounced dead.
It is not known if any other parties were injured as a result of the collision.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
