New Castle, PA (November 9, 2020) – Around 6 p.m. on Sunday evening, November 8, a man was killed in a New Castle motorcycle accident.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occurred on Ellwood Road. A motorcyclist was headed south and the driver of a passenger vehicle was trying to make a left turn out of a driveway. The driver did not see the motorcyclist and continued onward into their path.
The accident was so forceful that the motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle. His motorcycle sustained severe damages.
The motorcyclist was identified as 43-year-old David Sedgwick from Ellwood City. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, remained at the scene of the accident. They are expected to receive charges.
