Nescopeck, PA – Serious Bicycle Crash at Broad St & Stair Ave Intersection

Nescopeck, PA (April 26, 2023) – Serious injuries stemmed from a bicycle accident that took place at an intersection in Nescopeck on Wednesday afternoon, April 26.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at 2:43 p.m. at the intersection of Broad Street and Stair Avenue. Police confirmed that a man was riding a purple and green bicycle when he went through the intersection. He was suddenly struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle, who remained at the scene.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, who was identified as a 32-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.

A large portion of the road was blocked at the intersection for some time after the accident. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
