Mount Pleasant Township, PA – Man Hurt in Truck Crash on Hanover Rd near Honda Rd
Mount Pleasant Township, PA (October 20, 2023) – A man suffered severe injuries as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Mount Pleasant Township on Thursday afternoon, October 19.
The accident occurred just before 3:30 p.m.
According to United Hook & Ladder Lieutenant Lucas Seighman, a UPS semi-truck and a white sedan collided in the 4400 block of Hanover Road. Both vehicles were pulled further down the roadway before coming to rest.
The incident prompted officials to close down the roadway in the area near Honda Road.
The driver of the sedan was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters had to extricate the victim. The victim suffered critical injuries. EMS provided care to the victim before transporting them to a local hospital. The driver of the semi-truck was evaluated at the scene. However, they were not injured.
The incident is currently being investigated.
