Moosic, PA – Two Injured in Plane Crash on Stone StLaw Pa
Moosic, PA (September 21, 2020) – According to police, a plane crash took place on a roadway in Moosic Sunday, September 20.
Police confirmed that the plane was headed to Vermont with a pilot and a passenger. The plane was on its way to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport when it crash-landed on Stone Street. It is believed that the plane came down because it started to experience engine troubles.
Due to the severity of the crash, the plane took down power lines. Witnesses said that they heard the sound of the crash and then saw lights in the area go out.
The pilot and the passenger, who have not yet been identified, were taken to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the National Transportation Safety Board and FAA are working on an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
