Mertztown, PA – Two Killed in Fatal Truck Accident at Folk Rd & Hamilton Blvd

Mertztown, PA (January 29, 2023) – At 4 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, January 29, two people were killed in a fatal truck accident at a Mertztown intersection.

According to Lehigh County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Folk Road and Hamilton Boulevard. A passenger vehicle was traveling south when the driver attempted to cross Hamilton and was suddenly struck by a tractor-trailer headed eastbound. The vehicle was badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two individuals inside the passenger vehicle sustained traumatic injuries in the accident. They were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
