Mcveytown, PA – Five Students Injured in School Bus Crash on Ferguson Valley Rd
Mcveytown, PA (November 1, 2022) – In the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 1, a school bus accident with injuries occurred in Mcveytown.
According to Mifflin County officials, the accident happened around 7 a.m. on 5623 Ferguson Valley Road. Police confirmed that a Mifflin County school bus was involved in an accident with a passenger vehicle this morning. The circumstances of the accident are not entirely known but the involved vehicles sustained damages in the accident.
Several Mifflin County responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. A total of 12 high school and middle school students were on the bus when the accident occurred. Two of the students were injured and taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital by ambulance. Three other students were taken to local hospitals by their parents. The other students and drivers were not hurt.
Due to the severity of the accident, a portion of the road was blocked for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
