McKees Rocks, PA (March 17, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning, March 17, a car accident with injuries occurred in McKees Rocks.

According to police, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-79 around the Bridgeville rest area. Multiple vehicles collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

A portion of the roadway was shut down for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
