Manheim, PA – Child Killed in Car Carrier Truck Crash at PA-72 & Lititz RdPa Accident News
Manheim, PA (February 11, 2022) – A child was killed in a car carrier truck crash at an intersection in Manheim on Wednesday evening, February 9.
Police confirmed that the collision happened around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of PA-72 and Lititz Road. A Ford Taurus was traveling west in the area when it entered the intersection. The vehicle was then struck by a car carrier truck that was traveling south from the other direction. The passenger vehicle was severely damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A 10-year-old girl was a passenger in the passenger vehicle and she was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if anybody else was hurt as a result of the accident.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for several hours.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
