Maidencreek, PA – One Killed in Fatal Truck Accident on Rte 222
Maidencreek, PA (September 23, 2022) – One person lost their life in a fatal truck accident that took place on a major roadway in Maidencreek on Friday morning, September 23.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at 8 a.m. on Route 222 around the area of Burgert Lane. Due to reasons that are not fully known, a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided with each other. The passenger vehicle sustained immense damage as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the passenger vehicle, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the crash due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if the driver of the truck sustained injuries in the crash.
Due to the severity of the accident, the road was fully blocked in the area of the collision until 1:30 p.m. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
