Lurgan Twp., PA – Truck Crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike
Lurgan Twp., PA (November 19, 2023) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in Franklin County resulted in injuries. The crash occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on November 16.
According to reports provided by the Pennsylvania State Police, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was struck by a tractor-trailer that was hauling a bulldozer through the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Blue Mountain Tunnel. The head-on collision forced the Chevrolet into another vehicle.
The pickup truck driver was severely hurt in the crash. The victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. Two additional victims sustained injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police troopers out of Franklin County.
