Levittown, PA – One Killed in Fatal Bicycle Crash on New Falls Rd
Levittown, PA (September 29, 2022) – On Wednesday evening, September 28, one person was killed in a fatal bicycle accident in Levittown.
According to Bristol Township Police, the accident happened at 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of New Falls Road and Bristol-Oxford Valley Road. When police arrived at the scene, they found that a Ford Mustang was traveling in the area when it entered the intersection at the same time as a bicyclist and may not have seen them in time. The Mustang slammed into the bicycle as a result.
Paramedics, Bristol fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, who has not yet been formally identified publicly, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene after being extricated from under the Mustang. Nobody else sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection until 9:20 p.m. when police fully cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with new information as it becomes available.
