LeBoeuf Township, PA (December 16, 2023) – After a three-vehicle collision on Route 97 in LeBoeuf Township, at least one person has died, and several others have been hurt.
Per local news footage, there was substantial damage to the cars involved and a handful of persons were trapped in one of the vehicles when the initial collision call came in at about 12:50 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Authorities responded to the scene, located in the 5100 block of Route 97 near Hare Road, shortly after fielded calls reporting the collision.
Route 97 was blocked between Flatts Road and Hare Road near the junction of Hough Road, and troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police and fire rescue squads were also sent to the incident to aid the investigation. Authorities in Pennsylvania have reported five casualties, including one fatality, one seriously injured person, and three others with less severe injuries. The victims' current conditions are unknown, and no further details were released in connection with the crash. An investigation is still ongoing in the meantime.
