Lebanon, PA – Vanessa Henner Killed in Fatal Truck Crash on Rte 72
Lebanon, PA (August 18, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal truck accident that took place on a major roadway in Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon, August 17.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at 2900 Route 72. Police confirmed that a tractor-trailer and a Chevrolet Cavalier collided with each other due to reasons that are still under investigation. The two vehicles allegedly collided head-on, which caused extensive damage.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The Cavalier was driven by 25-year-old Vanessa Henner, who was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was injured and was rushed to Hershey Medical Center by medical helicopter.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
Pennsylvania State Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
