Lancaster, PA (August 17, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal bicycle accident that took place at an intersection in Lancaster on Saturday morning, August 13.

Police in Lancaster confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of South Pool Forge Road and Nolt Road. Police confirmed that 44-year-old Brian Kozera was approaching the intersection on his bicycle when he was suddenly struck by a driver in a 1994 Ford pickup truck. It was alleged that the driver of the truck did not stop at a stop sign before striking Kozera.

The bicyclist was knocked off of his bike and became trapped under the rear wheel of the truck. Kozera was immediately rushed to Reading Hospital, where he tragically passed away from his injuries. The driver of the truck, identified as 62-year-old John Good, was not hurt in the collision.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. It is not known if Good will face any charges in the accident.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
