Kittanning Twp, PA – Four Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on SR-422
Kittanning Township, PA (June 27, 2023) – Around 6 p.m. on the evening of Monday, June 26, a two-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Kittanning Township.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened on State Route 422 around the area of Silvis Hollow Road in the eastbound lanes of traffic. Police confirmed that a pickup truck and a minivan were traveling in the area when they collided after entering the intersection at the same time. The involved vehicles were badly damaged in the collision and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of four victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. One or more parties had to be taken to the hospital by medical helicopter. Their current conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked for about an hour and a half after the accident. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
