Jefferson Township, PA (August 16, 2020) – Three people were taken to the hospital following a crash in Jefferson Township on Saturday, August 15th. The crash was first reported around 11:00 a.m. in the 6900 block of E. State Street.
According to a report from authorities, a man was traveling on State Street around 11:00 a.m. when he collided with a red Subaru Outback. The man was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident. There were two occupants in the Subaru. The man was ejected from his vehicle after the collision.
When rescue workers arrived, they located the man lying in the roadway and found the two occupants of the Subaru still inside their vehicle. All three victims were transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown for treatment of their injuries. There is no word on their conditions at this time and authorities have not released their identities. Police have also not provided any details on the events leading up to the two-car crash.
Officials remained at the scene following the crash as they worked to remove the wrecked vehicles from the roadway. Motorists were urged to use caution and to find alternate routes if possible. There is no information on potential charges at this time and the crash remains under investigation.
