Irwin, PA – Three-Vehicle Collision Causes Injuries in Two Victims on US-30

Irwin, PA (March 10, 2022) – On Wednesday night, March 9, a three-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Irwin.

According to North Huntingdon Police, the accident happened around 7:40 p.m. on US-30 near the Flynn Tire auto repair store and Skellytown Road. A passenger vehicle and two SUVs were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. All of the involved vehicles sustained heavy damages.

Several responders, including fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One of the motorists was trapped in a vehicle and had to be removed through the roof and windshield by fire crews. A total of two people were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

Traffic was blocked on US-30 in the area for approximately 90 minutes as police worked to clear the scene.

North Huntingdon Police are working on their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the collision.
