Ickesburg, PA – Matthew Kell Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Veterans Way
Ickesburg, PA (November 14, 2021) – At 3:58 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, November 12, a man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash in Ickesburg.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at 7700 Veterans Way. A Chevy Silverado was traveling south in the area while a motorcycle was headed northbound with a Buick behind it. The Chevy started to make a left turn in front of the motorcycle, giving the motorcyclist no time to stop. The motorcycle ran into the side of the pickup truck.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The motorcyclist, identified as a firefighter named Matthew Kell, was ejected from his motorcycle. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
