Houston, PA – Stolen Vehicle Causes Car Accident on I-79LawPaWriter
Houston, PA (November 23, 2020) – On Friday, November 20, a car accident took place following a car chase on a highway in Houston, Pennsylvania.
According to authorities, the accident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-79 when a black SUV started to flee from the police. Police confirmed that the vehicle was stolen. The SUV was driving erratically, weaving in and out of traffic.
The driver of the stolen vehicle, who has not yet been formally identified, drove into the grassy median and then entered the northbound lanes of traffic. It forcefully struck another vehicle and then a second.
Police confirmed that the driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested at the scene, though the exact charges are not yet known. Three female passengers were inside the vehicle.
Two vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
A total of two people were injured due to the collision. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
