Harrison City, PA – One Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Pennsylvania Tpke
Harrison City, PA (May 2, 2022) – One person was injured in a three-vehicle collision that took place in Harrison City on Sunday morning, May 1.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 9:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike around mile marker 61 and Pleasant Valley Road. Three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision that happened due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the westbound lane of traffic for an extended period of time. Police cleared the scene in a little over an hour.
