Harrisburg, PA (April 5, 2022) – Around 12 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 5, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a roadway in Harrisburg.
According to Harrisburg Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of PA-283 around the area of Vine Street. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, there was a lane restriction in the westbound lanes until police were able to fully clear the scene.
