Harrisburg, PA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries in NB Lanes of I-83
Harrisburg, PA (April 17, 2022) – Before 2 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, April 17, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Harrisburg.
According to Harrisburg Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-83 around the area of exit 44A, 13thStreet. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide forcefully with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
