Harrisburg, PA – Jamie Shay Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on PA-322

Harrisburg, PA (November 25, 2021) – On Wednesday, November 24, a motorcyclist was killed in a fatal crash involving a logging truck in Harrisburg.

According to Susquehanna Township Police, the accident happened on PA-322 where the roadway intersects with Route 39. Two motorcyclists, who were part of an ongoing funeral procession, were traveling in the area when they were struck by a logging truck due to reasons that are not yet known. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One of the motorcyclists, identified as 33-year-old Jamie Shay, was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital with severe injuries. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead while there. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

Due to the severity of the crash, several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Delays remained for hours until police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
