Harrisburg, PA – Injuries Reported in School Van Crash on Linglestown Rd
Harrisburg, PA (April 19, 2023) – Injuries stemmed from a school bus accident that took place in Harrisburg on the morning of Wednesday, April 19.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened in the morning hours on Linglestown Road around the area of Piketown Road. Police confirmed that a school van was parked on Linglestown Road when it was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles sustained damages in the collision.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of three middle school students were in the van at the time, and one sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by a parent. The drivers of both vehicles were also hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in both directions for about two hours as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area.
