Harrisburg, PA – Head-on Collision Involving School Bus on Nyes RdLaw Pa
Harrisburg, PA (October 13, 2020) – Around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 13, a head-on collision involving a school bus took place in Harrisburg.
Police confirmed that the accident took place on Nyes Road around the area of Union Deposit Road. An SUV was in the southbound lane and crossed into the other lane of traffic for reasons that are not yet known. It struck a school bus head-on that was carrying 15 students from Dauphin County Technical School and a driver.
Two students were treated at the scene for swollen lips. The driver of the SUV was hospitalized with various injuries. All of the parties are expected to be okay.
Another bus responded to the scene and took the students to school for the day. Due to the severity of the accident, the school bus had to be towed from the scene.
No charges have been filed but the investigation continues.
