Hanover, PA – Fatal Truck Accident at E Middle St & York St IntersectionLawPaWriter
Hanover, PA (February 23, 2021) – Around 10:30 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, February 23, a fatal truck accident occurred at an intersection in Hanover.
According to Hanover Police, the accident happened at the intersection of East Middle Street and York Street. Brian Mawyer was driving a Kenworth truck in the area when his vehicle collided with a Toyota RAV4 driven by an 88-year-old local man.
The 88-year-old man was the only person injured as a result of the accident. He was taken to UPMC Hanover Hospital for treatment but tragically succumbed to his injuries while there.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but Pennsylvania State Police continue their investigation.
