Hamburg, PA – One Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision at PA-61 & S 4th St
Hamburg, PA (July 4, 2022) – One person sustained injuries as a result of a three-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Hamburg on Saturday morning, July 2.
According to Berks County Police, the accident happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of PA-61 and South 4thStreet. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when it is believed that they entered the intersection simultaneously, causing them to collide due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles sustained damages as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been formally identified, was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Their condition and identity is not known at this time. However, they are expected to make a full recovery.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for under an hour near the area of Outten Kia dealership.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
