Pedestrian Accidents in Pennsylvania
Pedestrian accidents have been increasing on our roads over recent years. Pedestrians are some of the most at-risk parties on our roads due to the fact that they have no protection from harm in the event of an accident. Unfortunately, many pedestrians are either seriously injured or killed in accidents each year in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2020 alone, it was reported that approximately 150 pedestrians were killed and many others were injured in pedestrian accidents within the state. If you have sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident that was caused by another party, you should be prepared to speak with an attorney that you can trust.
Because pedestrians lack the protection that others on our roads have, they are likely to sustain serious injuries in a collision. In fact, some of the most severe injuries that stem from these accidents every year in Pennsylvania include the following:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Organ damage
These injuries are sometimes so severe that victims will spend time recovering in the hospital and away from the workplace. If your life has been negatively impacted by a pedestrian accident, you should be prepared to speak with a Greensburg personal injury attorney that you can rely on.
