Greensburg, PA (September 20, 2020) – Around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, September 20, a man was killed in a fatal train accident in Greensburg.
The accident took place around the tracks near Lynch Field in Greensburg. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking on the tracks and might have been crossing near the Hempfield-Greensburg border when he was struck by a train.
The pedestrian has since been identified as 28-year-old Bryson Braun. According to Westmoreland County officials, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The railroad tracks were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
