Fredericksburg, PA – Woman Killed in Workplace Accident on Chestnut Hill Rd

Fredericksburg, PA (February 22, 2023) – Around 9 p.m. on Friday night, February 17, a woman was killed in a fatal workplace accident in Fredericksburg.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at the Bell and Evans plant on Chestnut Hill Road in the parking lot. A 64-year-old woman who was employed by a local company was in the parking lot when she was suddenly struck by a tractor-trailer driver that was working with her.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 64-year-old woman was severely injured and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries. The driver of the truck was not hurt in the accident.

The area was blocked off for an extended period of time following the accident. Police did not say if work continued in the area for the day.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
