Fredericksburg, PA – Tyler Laudenslager Killed in Fatal Crash on I-78Law Pa
Fredericksburg, PA (July 23, 2020) – Around 6:15 p.m. last evening, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash on I-78 in Fredericksburg.
According to police, a 29-year-old identified as Allen Putnam was traveling west on I-78 when he suddenly rear-ended a commercial truck being operated by Adeel Mazhar. Putnam then lost control of his vehicle, which caused it to veer across the highway and strike 29-year-old Tyler Laudenslager of Halifax.
Police confirm that Laudenslager was on the side of the road near his tow truck engaged in roadside assistance for another vehicle when he was struck by Putnam’s vehicle.
Putnam and three occupants inside his vehicle were injured as a result of the collision. They were identified as 38-year-old Tahnaya Calhoun, 20-year-old Tahdirra McIntyre, and a 9-year-old child.
Laudenslager was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.
The accident was so severe that the Interstate was closed for more than five hours. Police continue their investigation into the collision.
