Felix Febres Injured in Truck Collision in Sugarloaf Township

Luzerne County, PA (September 26, 2017) – A man was injured after he was involved in a motorcycle crash in Sugarloaf Township Friday afternoon.
According to witnesses, the accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on September 22, near the exit ramp on I-80 eastbound. The report showed that the exit ramp was crowded with a truck cab and a group of motorcycles from the Latin American Motorcycle Association in Youngstown, Ohio.
Police reported that the truck illegally stopped on the off-ramp and started to pull onto the ramp at the time the motorcyclists were passing. A motorcyclist, later identified as Felix Febres, swerved to avoid hitting the truck but lost control of his vehicle and hit another motorcycle.
Febres was life-flighted to Geisinger Wyoming Valley for treatment.
An investigation is being conducted by state police.
