Fayetteville, PA (August 5, 2020) – On Friday night, five people were seriously injured in a car accident in Fayetteville.

The accident, according to authorities, took place around 11:30 p.m. at 1600 Black Gap Road when the driver of a passenger vehicle crashed into a home in Franklin County after they lost control of their car for unknown reasons.

Those inside the vehicle were badly injured as a result of the accident but nobody inside the home received injuries. Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. They confirmed that some victims were transported to the hospital by medical helicopter while others were taken by ambulance.

The accident was so severe that it closed down Black Gap Road in the area for approximately two hours.

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg continues their investigation into the accident.
