Easton, PA – Chain-Reaction Collision with Injuries on US-22LawPaWriter
Easton, PA (January 8, 2021) – Around 11:25 a.m. on Friday morning, January 8, a chain-reaction collision took place on a major roadway in Easton.
According to police, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of US-22 around the area of Wood Avenue and 13th Street. A mattress initially fell off of the back of a pickup truck, causing five vehicles to collide with each other. The driver who caused the accident remained at the scene.
One of the people involved in the accident was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be rescued by fire crews. One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until 12:35 p.m. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
