E Smithfield, PA – James Place Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Rolling Hills RdLaw Pa
East Smithfield, PA (July 13, 2020) – On Sunday, July 12, a fatal motorcycle accident took place in East Smithfield involving a tractor.
Police confirmed that 47-year-old James Place and 44-year-old Marie Place were both traveling on a motorcycle on Rolling Hills Road at the time of the accident. Their motorcycle collided with a tractor that was making a left turn at the time.
Both James and Marie were ejected from the motorcycle. James was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while Marie suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the tractor was not injured.
Pennsylvania State Police continues their investigation of the accident.
