Doylestown, PA – Bicycle Accident at US-202 and Bristol RdLawPaWriter
Doylestown, PA (November 20, 2020) – On Friday afternoon, November 20, a bicycle accident occurred at an intersection in Doylestown.
According to police, the accident occurred at 12 p.m. at the intersection of US-202 and Bristol Road. A 20-year-old male bicyclist was riding east on Bristol when he entered the intersection. He was suddenly struck by a sedan that was traveling north on US-202.
The bicyclist was the only person who was injured as a result of the accident. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and the bicyclist was transported to a local hospital by medical helicopter. His current condition is not yet known.
The driver that struck the bicyclist was identified as a 55-year-old from Lansdale. They remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
The intersection was blocked in multiple lanes for an extended period of time following the accident.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
