Dillsburg, PA – Joel Jumper Killed in Fatal Head-on Collision on Old York Rd

Dillsburg, PA (February 19, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal head-on collision that took place on a roadway in Dillsburg on Thursday night, February 17.

According to officials, the accident happened around 6 p.m. at 1800 Old York Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when one lost control, driving into the other lane of traffic. The vehicles then collided head-on with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, identified as 36-year-old Joel Jumper, was pronounced dead at the scene. One other person, who has not yet been identified, was injured and flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Their current condition is not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
