Last year, a man crashed his car into a home in Lancaster County while he was driving 100 mph under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. This is typical in an incident of DUI, where many drivers tend to speed. Today, he was sentenced to state prison for his actions. He pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, aggravated assault by vehicle, and aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence. Added to this were 3 count of DUI, 4 counts of reckless endangerment, and a summary speeding violation. His car veered off the road into a home while he was driving 103 mph in a 35 mph zone. A passenger in his car suffered from cervical fractures, though nobody inside the house was injured.

The Reality of Drunk Driving Accidents

DUIDrunk driving accidents tend to have many victims. There are multiple consequences of driving drunk, as a driver could virtually lose their own life within seconds, or take somebody down with them. Not only could these injuries have detrimental effects on you, but they could also have detrimental effects on your family. And there are many cases of drunk driving that end in wrongful deaths due to the injuries to a person and the bodily harm it has caused them, leading to their untimely demise.

If you have been injured in a drunk driving accident, we want to speak to you. One of the biggest aspects in any injury case is being able to prove your case and that the party actually acted negligently while they were driving and hit you. It is very obvious who was liable in a case of drunk driving, especially when the police intercept the driver and discover how high their BAC was at the time of the incident and file a police report saying such. This can be a valuable piece of information in your case.

If the drunk driver is deemed liable in your case, you will find that they could have to pay compensation toward your medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and many more aspects in your accident. The truth is, in these highly catastrophic accidents where there is a chance of multiple injuries and even death, the compensation costs could be high, and you could be feeling the financial strain of your accident.
