Chester, PA – Update: Two Paramedics Injured in Bus Crash on I-95Law Pa
Chester, PA (October 9, 2020) – On Wednesday, October 7, two paramedics were injured in a bus crash on I-95 in Chester.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident took place when an ambulance collided with a school bus for reasons that are not fully known. The bus was waiting to merge onto the highway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident. Four people were injured as a result of the accident. Two people in the ambulance suffered various injuries. They have since been identified as 36-year-old Joshua Boylan and 39-year-old Nicholas Scull. One of the paramedics was so badly trapped that they had to be extricated from the ambulance by fire crews.
The roadway was closed down for an extended period of time until police were able to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
