Chester, PA – Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision in NB Lanes of I-95

Chester, PA (August 25, 2022) – Two people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision that took place on a highway in Chester on Wednesday afternoon, August 24.

According to Delaware County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Highland Avenue close to 4 p.m. Two vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when one of the vehicles entered the other lane of traffic and collided head-on with another vehicle. One of the vehicles, identified as a black sedan, sustained front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Two people were injured in the accident and rushed to local hospitals for treatment. They are expected to receive a full recovery.

Several northbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police were able to fully clear the scene by 5:30 p.m.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
