Chambersburg, PA (June 4, 2023) – Around 2:32 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, June 3, a pedestrian accident involving a child took place in Chambersburg.
According to Chambersburg Police Department officials, the accident happened at 100 North Franklin Street. Police confirmed that a juvenile was riding his scooter in an alley when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The driver claims that they did not see the child until it was too late.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The juvenile, whose age has not yet been revealed, sustained a leg injury due to the accident. The child was rushed to a hospital by medical helicopter, though their current condition is not yet known.
A portion of the roadway was blocked for some time after the accident. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
