Chambersburg, PA – Bernandino Lopez-Chum Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Loudon StPa Accident News
Chambersburg, PA (January 18, 2023) – A man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on a roadway in Chambersburg on the night of Monday, January 16.
According to Chambersburg Police, the accident happened around 8:40 p.m. at 400 Loudon Street. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was crossing the street when, in the middle of the block, he was struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as Bernandino Lopez-Chum, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was hurt in the collision.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. The driver of the vehicle has not received any charges at this time.
