Camp Hill, PA – Carissa Mecum Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Trindle Rd & 39th St

Camp Hill, PA (April 30, 2022) – A woman was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash that took place at an intersection in Camp Hill on Thursday night, April 28.

According to local police, the accident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Trindle Road and 39th Street. Police confirmed that 25-year-old Carissa Mecum was driving a motorcycle in the area when a passenger vehicle turned in front of her at the intersection. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Mecum was wearing a helmet but sustained various traumatic injuries. She was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with police. They were found at fault but it is not known if any charges were brought.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
