Butler, PA – Henry Sinopoli Killed in Bicycle Crash on Washington StLawPaWriter
Butler, PA (September 11, 2021) – Around 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning, September 8, a man was killed in a fatal bicycle crash in Butler.
According to Butler City Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Washington Street and West Brady Street. Police arrived at the scene in the early morning hours to find that a driver went through the intersection, striking a bicyclist. The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The bicyclist, identified as Dr. Henry Sinopoli, was flown to a local hospital with critical injuries. He was pronounced dead on Friday, September 10.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
